MEET THE TEAM
The Care Team
At High West Counseling, every person on our team plays a meaningful role in your care. From the therapists who walk alongside you through life's most difficult moments to the administrative staff who make scheduling and support feel effortless, we're here together — with one shared goal: to make your experience feel personal, connected, and safe. Whether you're reaching out for the first time or returning for another session, you'll find a team that's genuinely invested in your healing and committed to creating a space where real change can happen.
Owner & Therapist

My focus in therapy is on my clients' deeper experiences that lie beneath the symptoms. I believe this creates lasting change and invites more meaning into our lives. I provide a warm, non-shaming environment in order to explore past traumas, function better in the present, and work towards a better future. When I’m not doing therapy, you might catch me teaching in the social work department at UVU or doing something creative.
Owner & Therapist

I am passionate about making sure that therapy is a safe place where exploration and self-understanding can be achieved. My goal is to provide you with the tools necessary, so you no longer need me– The most rewarding part of my job is to see the breakthroughs that happen with my clients. Outside of the therapy room you can find me fishing.
Therapist
Kortney Tankersley, CSW

I have a strong passion for mental health, specializing in work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I approach therapy through an empathetic, trauma-informed lens grounded in evidence-based practice. My goal is to help clients feel safe, connected, and understood by offering a personalized approach rather than a one-size-fits-all experience. I believe therapy should be uniquely tailored to each individual. I strive to provide compassionate support that helps clients feel grounded, empowered, and connected to their authentic selves. In addition, I incorporate somatic modalities, including sound therapy, breath-work, and mindfulness-based practices when desired by clients. When not in the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, practicing photography, and snuggling with my dogs.
Administrative Specialist
Wendy Livingston

I have spent many years helping individuals and families connect with the mental health care and resources they need. I am passionate about mental health and believe that every person deserves to feel supported and welcomed from their very first interaction with our clinic. I take pride in helping clients navigate the process of accessing care and strive to create a positive, compassionate experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Outside of work, I love spending time with my grandchildren, making lasting memories with family, and enjoying the simple moments that bring joy and connection to life.
